MULTICULURAL CELEBRATION is a special dance program that honors our global society in dance. Artistic Director Debra Punzi has created dances that reflect a celebration of different cultures. Multicultural education helps us to break down stereotypical images and share common strengths and goals.
 
            This special dance program is made up of small dance works adaptable to all age groups. Dances include an African folktale, Chinese ribbon dance, European folkdance, Native American dance, and more.
 
Examples of some pieces:
Lion and Spider – An African folk tale set to drum music. choreographed by Robin Williams.
Coyote Dance – Based on Native American dance, choreographed by Debra Punzi.
Chinese Ribbon Dance – Traditional Chinese music with use of ribbon in dance, choreographed by Debra Punzi.
Blue – Dances to African American Jazz music, choreographed by Debra Punzi.
